The South African Tattoo will once again be returning to thrill audiences with another unforgettable spectacular on 06 and 07 October 2018, only this time at the state-of-the-art Sun Arena at Time Square in Pretoria. To start building up the excitement and counting down to this epic show, we're giving you a little sneak preview of some of the thrilling acts...
Imagine over 700 performers coming together for a mass display of dance, formation and music, spanning ages and global cultures in an awe-inspiring performance that will leave you amazed. Yip, there is simply nothing like a tattoo... see it once, never forget it!

Highland Dance
The amazing South African Highland Dancers are a dynamic highlight of the South African Tattoo. This year, they'll be joined by the famous OzScot Highland Dancers from Australia, as well as dancers from Basel, Switzerland, for the biggest highland dancing spectacle yet.
The SA Army
The bands of the South African Army are no strangers to performing for kings, presidents and citizens with just the same verve. This year, the army’s best bands are joining forces to get your feet tapping and your heart pounding with pride. The South African Army aims to serve all the citizens of our amazing country and boasts a vast set of skills and expertise, some of which will be showcased in a rarely seen and unforgettable display of military capability. Expect cultural dancers, precision drill squads and even a hostage rescue display from the crack military units that boldly protect our nation.
Drum Majorettes
The three-time winners of the drum majorette world championships will be bringing their dazzling precision, boundless energy and big smiles back to the South African Tattoo arena again this year. Ladies and gentlemen, welcome back the amazing drummies from St Dominics!
Pipes And Drums
Nothing is as sensational or stirring as the sights and sounds of the massed pipes and drums. This year, more pipers and drummers than ever before will be marching onto the esplanade in a musical and visual spectacle.
Johannesburg Youth Orchestra
Perhaps the only thing more exciting than great talent is young talent. And nowhere will you find more remarkable youthful talent than in the Johannesburg Youth Orchestra. They’ll be part of the awe-inspiring musical celebrations.
