To celebrate the iconic Mexican beer’s launch in South Africa, SOL has teamed up with one of the country’s most iconic hip-hop acts Skwatta Kamp. The group reunited on 26 March 2017 for the inaugural event under the title “The Sound of Freedom”. This was be an exclusive once-off performance at Maboneng’s Poolside to celebrate the arrival of SOL beer in South Africa. “SOL is an authentic Mexican beer that has been around since 1899. It’s a beer that was born at the time of Mexico’s revolution and is imbibed with a spirit of freedom, independence and adventure. That’s why it was a natural fit to celebrate our arrival in South Africa by collaborating with a band that was born around the time as South Africa’s independence,” says Thembi Butelezi.
