SA Horse Trails

SA Horse Trails are fortunate enough to have over 1600 Hectares of amazing out-rides right on Gauteng’s doorstep. With no set route, every horse ride is an adventure. Boasting spectacular routes through the Northern Farm Nature Reserve offering challenging and technical out-rides, including river crossings, inclines, bundu-bashing, canter stretches or, if that's not for you just enjoy a gentle bird watching meander. SA Horse Trails require no prior experience and give everyone basic training before we go out on the ride, showing you how to sit in the saddle, hold your reigns and dig your heels in so as not to fall off while riding, remembering that the pace is set by the slowest rider. So if you have never ridden before - don't worry – SA Horse Trails will give you personal instruction! If you do know how to ride already, never fear, SA Horse Trails have some lovely horses that will definitely keep you on your toes. The well trained horses, comfortable tack and pleasant staff will ensure you enjoy your experience with SA Horse Trails. Targeted learning objective courses/lessons are also available if you wish to become a better rider. Venue: : Johannesburg North in Lanseria / Fourways (R114) close to the Lion Park. Cost: R275 pp 2 hrs (Weekend); R300 pp 2 hrs (Weekday). What to Bring: Suntan lotion, carrots for your horses, an adventurous heart, raincoat (summer rains), spare money for a drink after the trail!
