What Is It?
Billy Hayes' one-man venture, Riding The Midnight Express, is coming to the Joburg Theatre this July. Having had two critically acclaimed runs Off-Broadway and sold out engagements in Edinburgh, London, Melbourne, Australia and Beirut, Lebanon, Hayes makes his first visit ever to South Africa. In Riding The Midnight Express, Hayes recounts the true story of his time in Turkish prisons and his brazen, harrowing escape. It promises to be an epic journey of self-discovery, a cautionary, yet uplifting tale of desperation, determination and personal transformation.
