Located inside the Leaping Frog shopping centre, the restaurant is open every day of the week! Casa de España also opens in Lanseria by the Valverde Eco Hotel - but only on weekends! This restaurant has the Spanish vibe we all would like to experience. Saturdays and Sundays are for live music and good food here.
The Menu
Restaurante Casa De España meticulously chooses its ingredients from various marketplaces around Johannesburg and South Africa, and also occasionally imports them from Spain. Their dishes use the likes of extra virgin olive oil, legumes, fresh veggies, and fresh seafood, making Spanish cuisine among the healthiest in the world.
Their speciality dishes include Patatas Bravas, Spanish tapas, Spanish seafood Paella, and Pulpo a la Gallega. The Spanish paella combines the finest shellfish and chicken, the ideal Spanish seasonings, and the ideal cooking time to create the perfect paella dish. Your Paella options include seafood, chicken, meaty and pasta Paella.
The menu also offers some familiar dishes like the Barcelona-style pizza, seafood platters, rump steak, fillet steak, rib eye on the bone, vegetarian burgers and spicy potatoes. The seafood platter includes hake, calamari, mussels, clams, and langoustines cooked in their secret white wine sauce... salivating isn't it? Yum!
The menu at Casa De España is definitely one of the most interesting menus we've seen. If you're a lover of ice cream, this restaurant has pretty delicious Spanish ice cream desserts. The cocktail bar has the classic refreshing mojito and summer tea rum punch. If you just want an espresso and cake, they got you.
