Perfect for those warm spring and hot summer days, the KCC La Vie en Rose is a lovely garden restaurant located on the Killarney Country Club’s grounds, surrounded by lush lawns and massive trees adorned with sparkling fairy lights under which you can dine al fresco. The building looks onto the garden and has floor-to-ceiling windows and stacking doors, ideal for brightening up the space with natural light. and once you step indoors, you can expect to see wrought iron balustrades and a light, airy, modern interior. The core philosophy of this beautiful hidden gem is to view life through rose-tinted glasses, paying attention to life's positives, beauty and delights.
The alfresco dining area lends itself to functions with a free-standing stage and a special L-shaped bench section, complete with soft cushions for informal gatherings. If you're planning a party, baby shower, celebration or corporate lunch, the restaurant will be more than happy to cater to your needs to make it a success.
The restaurant itself can accommodate 300 guests and the staff is set to grow to 60 to continue providing the attention to detail and smooth function handling they are known for. When it comes to their menu, there is definitely something to delight all different preferences and taste buds. No matter what you're craving, there's bound to be the perfect dish on the menu that's sure to satisfy. Think along the lines of indulgent and hearty pasta dishes, moreish homemade burgers, light and flavourful wraps, decadent waffles with all the toppings you could ever imagine, fresh and filling salads, and scrumptious breakfasts to start off your day on a high note. And if you're looking for a lovely afternoon tea, their high teas are a must!
But lets start from the very beginning. Once you've been seated, the first order of your visit it so get a drink to whet your appetite. Their drinks menu offers their guests a variety cold drinks, coffee and a wide variety of teas. For something refreshing, try their homemade Iced Tea, and they also offer an extensive cocktail menu, along with wines and bubbly for those afternoon visits.
As for the meals, they have a a delicious selection to choose from, you'll feel spoilt for choice! For starters, try their delicious Chicken Livers, pan-fried in homemade Moroccan-style Napolitana sauce, with a dash of cream and crispy ciabatta, or tuck into a vegetarian dish like their homemade cheesy Spinach and Artichoke Wontons. Delicious!
Moving onto the mains, the Crispy Fried Chicken Fillets served with a homemade waffle with tasty sriracha mayo and the Penne Pasta with roasted pine nuts swirled in creamy basil pesto are winners. Another thing we love from their menu is the option to build your own salad! you are given a wide list of ingredients where you tick up to 12 delicious ingredients. And last but certainly not least, for something sweet, absolute must include their deep-fried Oreos and the phyllo pastry-filled Toblerone.
The menu always evolves and brings in new dishes to tickle your taste buds, but don't fret, their old and popular crowd-pleasers remain (this includes the deep-fried Toblerone and homemade burgers we were talking about).
