What Is It?
A photographer is a storyteller. A storyteller who does not need any words to tell their story. By combining technical skills and an appreciation for observing the world around us, a photographer is able to capture a moment that will forever encapsulate how rich reality truly is. To be more intrigued by these stories depicted in pictures, make sure you round up a group of your friends and join in on this event.
Reflections is an exhibition that uses the medium of photography to explore the concept of the "Other" in South African contemporary life. In this exhibition, you will see how the final year students of the Open Window focus their collective lenses on marginalised or under-represented groups within our culture and hold up a mirror that invites us to reflect on our own lives.
