What Is It?

Outie Bakery and Cafe in Newtown is an urban, eclectic coffee shop and cool kids hangout. Artists, poets, writers and songstresses all chill out here. That's why Outie have decided to host twice monthly Poetry Corner Open Mic Nights from June to November 2019. All you have to do is pitch up early and add your name to the list. Bring along new work, or old, and test it out on a live audience. It doesn't matter whether you bomb or fly - the important thing is that you get up on that stage and showcase your work. The Poetry Corner experience is all about sharing and appreciating other hard working craftspeople. Entrance is free, so drag along a couple of friends. After your set you can sit back, relax and enjoy some delicious bakery treats or a classic Outie burger. Toast to your bravery with a drink from the bar or a teetotalers freshly squeezed juice. See you there!

When Is It?

Every first and last Wednesday of the month from Wednesday, 26 June 2019 to Wednesday, 27 November 2019. The set starts at 19:00.
