What Is It?
Every year the Peermont Emperors Palace Charity Mile 2018 sees a host of South Africa’s best-loved celebrities descend upon Turffontein Racecourse for an event that gives back in a unique way.
The concept is simple: 16 horses are each paired with a celebrity, charity and media partner. The finishing positions of the horses in the Charity Mile determine what portion of the R1-million goes to their respective charities. Everyone unites on the day to support one common goal, which is to support those less fortunate. Come see your favourite celebs dressed to the nines to cheer home the stars of the turf.
