What Is It?

The PechaKucha format was first pioneered in Japan in 2003. It is now a worldwide event run in over 1000 cities. A fun and informal networking and social event, where creative people come together and share their ideas, works, thoughts or even their holiday photo albums. But, they must stick to the tricky PechaKucha 20x20 format - 20 images, 20 seconds each. This gives each presenter only 6 minutes and forty seconds to convey all their ideas to an audience (quite a challenge!). PechaKucha events are tailored to the city in which they are being hosted. So, you know that the Joburg edition should be packed full of laughs, complaints and great stories. This is a great way to meet new people, get feedback on your creative ideas and have a good time.
