What Is the Outdoor & Adventure Expo?
The Outdoor & Adventure Expo concept launched in Grabouw, Western Cape in 2023 before expanding to Broederstroom in 2024. The Broederstroom edition has quickly established itself as the definitive outdoor lifestyle expo for Gauteng residents, drawing visitors from Johannesburg, Sandton, Randburg, Fourways, Westrand, and beyond.

4x4 Action and Off-Road Thrills
This is one of the only expos in South Africa where you can actually drive, not just look. A purpose-built 4x4 demonstration track sits right inside the vehicle exhibitor area, and a fully marshalled 4x4 obstacle course is open for self-drive day visitors. Novices and experienced drivers alike have loved every moment of it, guided by the Off-Road Marshal Unit of South Africa. Whether you are eyeing a new 4x4 vehicle, kitting out your current rig with accessories, or just want the adrenalin rush of tackling real obstacles, this section of the expo is an absolute highlight.

Caravans and Trailers
The caravan and trailer section is a highlight for anyone in the market for their next home-away-from-home. All caravans and trailers are grouped together, making it incredibly easy to compare models side by side. You will find everything from entry-level, budget-friendly options right through to the most technologically advanced off-road caravans on the South African market.

Hiking and Mountain Biking Trails
B'Sorah Trails is an exceptional venue precisely because the adventure does not stop at the exhibitor stands. During the expo, visitors can explore hiking trails of various distances up to 18km, or tackle the challenging mountain bike trails up to 36km with multiple grades of difficulty. The terrain is extraordinarily diverse, ranging from bushveld and forests to rocky outcrops, ravines, and a tranquil river with a beautiful swimming spot.

Outdoor Gear and Equipment
If you love outdoor kit, you will be in your element. The exhibitor floor features an impressive range of camping equipment, hiking and cycling gear, cameras, battery and power systems, bags, braais, mountain bikes, e-bikes, handmade knives, vellies, outdoor clothing, and much more. SANPARKS Honorary Rangers were also among the exhibitors, adding a conservation-focused dimension to the event.

Food, Craft Beer, and a Proper Braai Atmosphere
At the centre of the exhibitor arena sits a vibrant food and drinks zone, complete with an array of food carts, craft beer on tap, a beer tent, and artisan food vendors. It is the kind of atmosphere where you pull up a chair, crack open a cold one, and soak in the surroundings. Cuisine for the soul, as the organisers aptly put it. The beer tent will also be broadcasting the Bulls vs All Blacks rugby match live, so you can catch all the action on the big screen while soaking up the bushveld atmosphere. Dog-Friendly Weekend
Here is something genuinely unique: as far as can be determined, the Outdoor & Adventure Expo Broederstroom is the only dog-on-lead-friendly expo in South Africa. Camping for the Weekend
You do not have to head home at the end of the day. Camp for the full weekend in your own gear and wake up to birdsong and bushveld scenery, or hire a ready-pitched tent in the tented village if you prefer to travel light. This is the full outdoor experience, not just a day out.
Coming in 2026: The Destinations and Adventures Centre
The Outdoor & Adventure Expo is already growing. From 2026, a brand-new Destinations and Adventures Centre will be housed inside the VIP hall, showcasing unique accommodation options, romantic getaways, luxury lodge stays, tour operators, and a wide range of adrenalin-filled activities. Think wildlife interaction experiences, ziplines, hot air ballooning, white water rafting, hiking routes, mountain bike trails, wild camping spots, 4x4 routes, and much more. The expo is taking place 14 – 16 August 2026.
The Venue: B'Sorah Trails, Broederstroom
The expo is held at the B'Sorah Beit Avinu Centre on the R3/R400, commonly known as the "Hartbeeshoek satellite road," on the Gauteng/North West border. The road connects Hartebeespoort Dam with Maropeng, the Cradle of Humankind World Heritage Site, meaning the drive out is a scenic country road rather than a slog through traffic.
From Johannesburg, it is a straightforward and enjoyable drive through beautiful countryside. Lanseria Airport is just 30km from the venue, making it accessible for visitors flying in from other provinces too.

B'Sorah itself is a remarkable 1,200-hectare farm stocked with free-roaming game. The expo venue flows from the stunning Beit Avinu Centre hall through beautifully shaded grassed areas lined with large trees, out into a vast open sports ground that accommodates larger exhibitors, vehicles, and the 4x4 track. It is a setting unlike any other expo venue in South Africa.
