Ouma Bets Pop-Up At Cowboy Town

Joburg Admin / January 12, 2026

Sunday, 18 January | 9 am - 3 pm

Ouma Bets Gebak is heading west for a one-day-only pop-up at Cowboy Town in Krugersdorp this Sunday. Expect nostalgic, proudly South African cookies full to the brim with all our favourite sweet treats. They're baked with love, tradition, and a whole lot of flavour, so if you haven't had a bite yet, what are you waiting for?

What Can I Expect At The Ouma Bets Pop-Up?

If you love artisanal treats with a local twist, this pop-up is a must-visit. Ouma Bets Gebak will be serving up their much-loved, extravagant cookies inspired by classic South African desserts and pantry favourites. This is an awesome (and extremely tasty) opportunity to support local small businesses. Check out the Facebook event here.

You can expect all the OG Ouma flavours, alongside the much-needed Janu-Worry Survival Box, because January can be tough on everyone. Even better, a few limited Christmas flavours will be making a special return, so this is your chance to stock up while they last. Curious about the flavour line-up? Caramel malva pudding, back-to-work coffee, blueberry cheesecake, and matcha are just a few. We needn't say much more.

Behind the brand is a beautiful story rooted in family, resilience and community. Ouma Bets Gebak pays tribute to Bets Barnard, whose baking fed a town for decades. Every cookie is made with the same heart, passion, and nostalgic “lekker kos” energy that made Ouma Bets a household name. Whether you’re grabbing padkos for the week or refuelling mid-outing at Cowboy Town, this pop-up is worth the visit. Get some crumbs on your shirt in the name of comfort, sweetness, and a proper taste of all the lekker sweeties we go mad over.
