The Open Gardens Meander 2018!

Joburg Admin / August 17, 2017

What Is It? With Spring about to be sprung on us, why not get some stunning garden inspiration at the Johannesburg Garden Club's Open Gardens Meander? Five previously unseen gardens will be made open to the public this September to raise funds for a wonderful cause – the Johannesburg Child Welfare. With sustainable gardening more popular than ever, this year’s Meander will focus on beautiful sites producing herbs, fruits and vegetables from inspiring kitchen gardens. Open Garden 2018 Visitors can still expect individuality from each of the participating gardens though. They range from charming to sprawling, each boasting its own showstopper water feature. Every garden will also feature a plant sale with individual specialties including Clivias, Azaleas, Clematis, Irises and Johannesburg Garden Club members’ own cultivated plants. Refreshments and a tea garden will also be available at one of the gardens, giving visitors plenty of opportunity to relax and freshen up. Open Garden 2018 When Is It? Saturday, 15 September 2018 - Sunday, 16 September 2018 from 10:00 to 17:00. Where Is It? The event will take place at five stunning, previously unseen gardens in the suburbs of Atholl and Bryanston, which will be open to the public. How Much Is It? R250 per person and children under 12 years old get in FREE. Tickets include entry to all five gardens. To get tickets, visit Webtickets. Guests will receive their Open Gardens Meander 2018 map and location addresses on booking of their tickets. All proceeds will be benefiting the Johannesburg Child Welfare.
