And Your Miss South Africa 2018 Is... Tamaryn Green!

The ever smiling and glowing Tamaryn Green was filled with gratitude upon being announced the title holder of Miss South Africa  2018. The 23 year old medical student from Paarl was celebrated by 10 former Miss South Africa title holders as they took to stage for a wonderful tribute to the newly crowned Miss SA. And to add on that, this year marks the pageant's 60th anniversary. Tamaryn Green Hailing from the Pearl of The Winelands, Green knew she had to represent her hometown and without a doubt she did. Upon being announced Miss SA 2018, Green says “the first thing I did was say thanks to my creator and my parents”, she also added that she knew her life was to change for the better. It is without a doubt that she will make an excellent doctor, as she was answering the questions asked by the panelists with so much passion and compassion, adding that she wants to help heal the sick back to health, and work towards doing her best to empower women during her period. Doctor Green Tamaryn walked away with a R3-million prize package, which includes a R1-million cash prize and a fully-furnished apartment for the year of her reign, as well as a Nissan Qashqai. To add on all the amazing roles, she will be tackling both in the industry and community she will also will be representing the country on an international stage at Miss Universe. “Miss Universe must be unapologetic, beautiful, demonstrate credibility and grace under pressure. She loves her country and knows this will always be home”, current Miss Universe (and Miss SA 2017 winner), Demi-Leigh Nel Peters said. We wish Tamaryn Green nothing but the best and fruitful journey as Miss South Africa Universe 2018, and we know she will flourish in everything she does - including her medical studies.
