World Children’s Day Charity Golf Day Tuesday, 20th of November 2007
World Children’s Day is an annual global programme that raises money for children’s causes. During the month of November, McDonald’s South Africa joins other McDonald’s restaurants in more than 100 countries in a campaign on the Tuesday, 20th of November 2007, with the celebration of World Children’s Day.
People everywhere can join this worldwide effort to help children by participating in fundraising opportunities at their local McDonald’s restaurants.
McDonald’s initiatives to reach the target for 2007 are:
Give a Hand & Make a Child Smile Campaign;
A Charity Corporate event e.g. Gold Day;
Donating a percentage of sales of Fries between 17-20 November 2007;
And, the Cotlands donation tins throughout the year.
The World Children’s Day Gold Day supports Cotlands commonly known as ‘The House that Love Built’. All proceeds are donated directly to the house so they can continue to provide a home away from home for families with seriously ill children.
The money raised during the month of November 2007 will be handed over to Cotlands and this should allow Cotlands the opportunity to consolidate its national projects.
