Three days and over 40 events - the 2022 Magalies Rocks the Cradle Festival promises to be one for the books. What makes this festival unique is that it takes place all over Magaliesburg rather than at just one venue. Only the very best of the Magalies join in to showcase their hand-crafted products, artisan food goodies and craft brews.

Friday
The 2022 Magalies Rocks The Cradle festival kicks off on Friday, 26 August. Our top pick of activities for the day is the Tequila Tasting and Bonfire Night at Thatchwood Farm. Come and expand your palate by sampling a variety of tequilas. There will also be food and live music offerings to enjoy bonfire side. This event runs from 18:00 till late. Hop into the car straight after work on the Friday afternoon and head towards the Magalies mountains. It's the perfect way to kick off a weekend of exploring in the Magaliesburg. Saturday
If you aren't able to make the trip down on Friday, no worries. The festival's Saturday lineup is jam-packed with awesome events. Our top pick is the Magaliesburg Farmer's Market. Also situated at Thatchwood Farms, this family-friendly market is set to offer a number of fun-filled activities. Browse a variety of stalls, or indulge in a free wine tasting and some yummy eats. The market is dog-friendly too, so bring your four-legged buddies along for a fun day out.
Sunday
Closing out the weekend with a bang, Black Horse Brewery will be hosting the MRtC Music, Wine and Craft Festival. Join them for a family fun day filled with live music, fabulous food and shopping. Bring your picnic blankets along as well. There is ample space to picnic here, with spectacular views of the surrounding mountains.
