Lockdown Lowdown With Lee-Ann Liebenberg

Joburg Admin / April 23, 2020

What is the first thing you'll get up to once lockdown is over? The school run, hah! Honestly, I cannot wait to see the rest of our family and friends to celebrate birthdays and special occasions that we could not celebrate together during lockdown. Which restaurant do you miss the most? The beautiful new Ethos restaurant and definitely BGR for the best burgers in town! What's your favourite home-cooked meal you've made during lockdown? Luckily I’m married to a restaurateur who absolutely loves cooking and makes us the most amazing dishes. My favourites which he makes for us is hearty Italian vegetable soup, braised short rib, mushroom truffle risotto and his mom’s incredible chicken pie. https://www.instagram.com/p/BlTR1t3jG8x/ What are you watching on Netflix?  We have made a rule in our house that everyone has an hour alone time every day, so in my “time out” I have watched Tiger King, Frankie and Grace, Schitte’s Creek, Explained and Ru Paul! Have you picked up a hobby or perfected a skill? I have never done Pilates and started an online Pilates course and I’m absolutely loving it!!! When I’m not homeschooling, cleaning the house, seeing to our businesses and making breakfasts, lunches and dinners, I’m following a few webinars on online marketing. https://www.instagram.com/p/BFwXfLfsUwB/ What are the three staples in your kitchen right now?  Frozen pizza, pasta and cans of tuna! Coffee or tea? Only one cup of coffee in the morning and then a cup of tea at bedtime. Who are you in lockdown with? My husband, daughters, Gia and Bella, and my mom, Adrienne. https://www.instagram.com/p/B99DC1hADxv/ What are you currently most grateful for?  Food, running water, electricity and Wi-Fi! How do you keep yourself going and motivated during this time? Picking up after the kids! We have a pan handle driveway and run up and down a few times every morning to get the blood flowing following with an online Pilates class for the kids and one more advanced for my mom and I. We are also in the process of moving (waiting for lockdown to end!) so I have a lot of packing to do that keeps me active and busy!
