What is the first thing you'll get up to once lockdown is over?
We are itching to get into nature! We’re currently in quarantine in Hermanus, staying at a beautiful place where we can see the mountains on one side and the ocean on the other. We will definitely be going for long hikes and walks on the beach as soon as we’re able to.
Which restaurant do you miss the most?
Definitely craving some Andiccio pizza! Although our homemade pizzas haven’t been too bad ;)

What's your favourite home-cooked meal you've made during lockdown?
Luckily we love cooking, so we’re been experimenting lots, but our favourite go-to meals have been:
Vegan Spaghetti Bolognese for Chanel
Chicken Schnitzels for Stevo
What are you watching on Netflix?
We finally started watching Stranger Things (although we’re midway through Season 2 and it’s starting to get a little intense!) We break that up with some nature shows (almost every night).
Have you picked up a hobby or perfected a skill?
Chanel’s cooking and baking has definitely improved - she was always a great cook, but with the extra time she’s been able to experiment more and perfect some recipes.
Stevo has been editing videos every day, so his video editing and storytelling skills are definitely improving too.

What are the three staples in your kitchen right now?
Flour (for all the pizza dough, bread rolls and pancakes).
Flavoured rooibos teas (we’re drinking at least five cups each a day).
Oats (adding them to our breakfast smoothies every day).
Coffee or tea?
Coffee for Stevo, rooibos tea for Chanel.
Who are you in lockdown with?
It’s just the two of us (although our Airbnb hosts live downstairs and we’ve been lucky to have a couple braais with them).

What are you currently most grateful for?
So many things, but we’re feeling SUPER grateful for the fact that:
A) We can afford to live without work at the moment (the travel industry has obviously been hit hugely by this pandemic and as travel photographers and videographers, that means not much new work coming in and all projects either cancelled or put on hold); and
B) We were able to have our wedding in early February, with friends and family from all over the world, because if we were planning to get married any later than that, it just wouldn’t have happened. We’re slowly releasing all our wedding content on our channels, reliving the day and build-up (and hopefully inspiring the message of love and positivity with our community).
How do you keep yourself going and motivated during this time?
We’re keeping creativity alive during this time! It’s the only way we can stay sane whilst indoors. We realise that a lot of charities and small businesses (like ours) need all the help they can get right now, so we’ve just launched a #QuarantineAd challenge on TikTok, where we’ve tasked ourselves with creating commercials for small businesses and charities needing some awareness. We go live with our first ad today and you can see the call for entry.
