If you’re looking for somewhere to relax and enjoy your surroundings we've got just the place for you. It's a cute little coffee shop that will surely make you feel at home.. you could call it a home away from home... complete with a gorgeous garden and bird's singing. It's the kind of place you go to to enjoy home made fruit juice with crushed ice on a sunny day, or even a hot cup of Milo or cappuccino when the cold rears its head.
But who is Little Miss Muffin? That would be the owner, Mrs van Rooyen who wears many hats. She does the books, runs the kitchen, and squeezes in quick chats with guests in between. This all began in Hartebeespoort. The name Little Miss Muffin (LMM) comes from a poem "the little moppets" that Mrs van Rooyen taught her children during pre-school. The staff are friendly and can hold a conversation on just about anything. They make you feel special and welcome in their "Home".
The food
I, myself, would recommend a chocolate milkshake with a chicken mayo tramezzini and for desert the "Die moeite werd tert". On top of that I highly reccomend their phyllo pastry pockets stuffed with chicken or beef - so delicious!
There is also a long list of light meals that I will leave in a shroud of mystery so that you can go there and find out for yourself. There will soon be a kiddie's venue attached to the cafe which will be completed soon. Little Miss Muffin does private functions on Saturdays as well. Any type of event you’re planning, they will be glad to help you. When asked if she would ever expand the dining area itself, she promptly said no - intimacy is everything.
