Little Champs

Little Champs Sports Academy is dedicated to developing and educating children through play and sport by implementing the Little Champs Programme - the most comprehensive, health conscious, lifestyle program early childhood development. The Little Champs Programme was developed in 1996 and is accredited by RAU, Wits Technikon, and the Sports Science Institute of South Africa. Our goal is to educate children in a safe, caring and stimulating environment, equipping them with the skills and mindset for success in all spheres of their lives. The Little Champs Sports Academy is unique in South Africa. The programme caters for pre-school children of both sexes and includes school readiness interventions as part of the lesson. Sports Curriculum The coaching curriculum is based on 12 sports reduced to their most basic forms. It concentrates on the 6 fundamentals identified as core to successful participation in sport and play. These are: Eye-hand co-ordination , Eye-foot co-ordination, Spatial awareness, Balance, Agility, Speed Lifestyle Curriculum Numeracy and Literacy - Identify letters and numbers, Create associations, Form the letters and numbers by hand. Cognitive and Social - Self-awareness, Self-esteem, Communication, Positive attitude and Affirmations, Visualization and creativity, Sportsmanship, Social Skills, Ubuntu, Leadership and Sharing.
