A Romantic Dinner For Two At The Lacuna Bistro
For a special treat with your partner, don't miss The Maslow's Valentine's Day Dinner Special at The Lacuna Bistro. Couples will be welcomed with a refreshing glass of bubbly while soothing love songs, performed by songstress Chanel and the Saxophone Duo, fill the air. Dinner is served overlooking The Maslow’s tranquil oasis garden. The specially-created four-course meal is a story on its own. Oozing romance, it starts with tempura oyster and salsa vinaigrette. The story takes a delightful turn with a choice between smoked springbok carpaccio with rocket and pomegranate salad; a refreshing kung pao salmon poke bowl with sesame rice; or a tapas board with falafel, marinated eggplant, hummus and grilled pita. The journey continues with a mouthwatering selection of beautifully prepared main dishes including slow-braised beef short rib with creamy polenta; Chinese spiced line fish with potato rosti, asparagus spears and champagne veloute; blue cheese gnocchi and buttermilk chicken supreme with wilted greens, chicken and corn chowder. And for a sweet ending, indulge with a choice of decadent desserts. Chef’s Love at First Sight is a rich chocolate tart with Turkish delight, white chocolate pearls, strawberry macaroon and pina colada ice cream, while the Romeo & Juliet is a composition of fresh strawberries, whipped cream, nougat, shortbread sphere and dark chocolate ganache.

Why Not Spend The Night?
Couples can choose to add another chapter to their Valentine’s celebrations by staying the night in one of the Maslow’s exquisite rooms, with breakfast the following morning. The Maslow’s Valentine’s Day accommodation package costs R2 600 for the night, inclusive of house sparkling wine on arrival, breakfast the next morning, and either the Valentine’s Dinner at Lacuna Bistro on Friday, 14 February 2020 or a gourmet picnic to be enjoyed in the garden the following day.
