Kafka's Ape Returns To POPArt For 3 Night's Only!

What Is It?

Ahead of their international tour, the cast and crew of Kafka's Ape will make a quick stop off at POPArt Theatre in Maboneng. This marvel of a theatre show will be on stage for three nights only! Here's what one of Joburg's top theatre critics had to say about Kafka's Ape: “…the play comprises poignant truisms about identity and the danger of shallowly judging others.” - Robyn Sassen. Kafka’s Ape is a solo performance by Tony Bonani Miyambo. It is an adaptation of Franz Kafka’s ‘A Report To An Academy’, about a primate’s struggle to overcome the confines of captivity. The play engages in an allegorical observation of the South African society through the eyes of other; the ape Red Peter. It is directed and adapted by Phala O. Phala, with original stage design by Liesel N. Retief. Book your tickets as soon as possible to avoid missing it!
