What Is It?

Have you always dreamed of running away to join the circus? If like us you have no talent for acrobatics, magic or death defying feats of gravity, come down to Joburg Theatre this September. After two immensely successful runs in Cape Town in 2017 and 2018, Journey Beyond – A Symphonic Circus will be performed for the first time ever at the Joburg Theatre. So, let your imagination run free as the Symphonic Circus takes over the Nelson Mandela Stage. Zip Zap Circus School will delight you as they perform near-impossible human feats and mesmerising aerial acts. Accompanied by the Johannesburg Youth Orchestra and special vocal guests, Zolani Mahola, Brandon October and Zita Pretorius. In celebration of Heritage Month, these young South Africans collaborate to create a world of magic using the art of circus performance against the backdrop of a live orchestra. You definitely won't want to miss this one! Bring the whole family along for a fun and thrilling live theatre experience.
