Olives & Plates is one of our long-standing favourite cake spots in the city. Their venue at the WITS Club holds special memories of impromptu brunches with friends and bunking second year English Lit for a slice of divine carrot cake.
The venue's Cape Dutch style architecture and décor is awe-inspiring and certainly leaves a lasting impression on its guests. You'll feel like you've been transported to a whole new world as you dine beneath the shady oak trees and look out onto the lush rose beds. Decadent High Tea Experiences at Olives & Plates
We were delighted when we discovered that Olives & Plates hosts a monthly high tea experience. These high tea experiences are exclusive to the Wits Club venue, every first weekend of the month. It's a delightful treat you don't want to miss.
You'll be welcomed with a complimentary glass of bubbly, a macaron, and a host of warm smiles. Guests are then seated at beautifully decked out tables. Once you've been seated at your table, you will be served an array of seasonal savoury treats. Served on individual high tea stands, there's everything from traditional cucumber sandwiches to yummy smoked salmon bagels. It's the perfect start to your high tea tasting adventure.
What's On The Menu?
Other than the high tea delights, their menu is full of dishes that we know you'll love. You'll be spoilt for choice, and tempted with their decadent selection of cakes on display. They serve everything from moreish breakfasts, benedicts and omelets, to smoothies, meze platters, salads, burgers, pastas, and much more.
