Now called The Playground by Play Braam, this revamped market offers a variety of gourmet street food, cocktails, live music performances, and DJs. What’s better than shopping and feasting while discovering musical talent in Joburg? Here’s what’s in store every Saturday from 11 am to 7 pm.
Paint And Sip
Unleash your inner artist at this two-hour creative workshop at the Play Craft Corner in The Playground Market. Take your pick of painting a canvas or a tote bag, whatever speaks to your soul. Each ticket includes all equipment and a drink voucher, so you can really get those creative juices flowing with a delicious drink.

The artisan food traders at this market are handpicked to ensure only the most delectable food is served. Traders use fresh local produce, so you get bonus points for supporting local trade. What is a KFC concept store, you ask? Basically, it’s a KFC that went to private school. This store offers exclusive menu items, fashion collabs, and innovative in-store digital experiences. Some of their menu items include a Chilli Lime Burger and Cola-Dunked Wings. Be one of the cool kids and check out this deliciously different KFC.
Little Kitchener’s
Little Kitchener’s is a pizzeria that serves mouthwatering wood-fired pizza and curated, crisp, refreshing spritzers and cocktails. This is the spot for all you foodies out there because they made history by coming in sixth place in the Time Out Global ranking of the 18 Best Pizzas in the World. Yoh, talk about an achievement.
