Joburg Easter Festival

Joburg Admin / February 19, 2009

Holiday entertainment just got bigger and better. The Johannesburg Expo center has recently announced the launch of the first annual Joburg Easter Festival. The highly anticipated event is expected to be the largest and most broadly appealing exhibition show ever staged in South Africa. Expo center chair Andrew Mthembu states, “The Joburg Easter Festival doesn’t stop at holiday fun. It is a festival that will celebrate every aspect of South African living and lifestyle.” Set to include a wide variety of entertainment and attractions, the festival offers it’s own film and arts festival, an international food festival, hundreds of exhibitors, a massive outdoor cinema, sports and children’s games, and musical concerts. The greatest of holiday festivities paired with traditional family favourites, will surely set a new benchmark among South African festivals, and guarantee a great day out. The event will take place at the newly renovated Nasrec precinct, credited to be the heart of the city’s football and exhibition industry. In preparation for the FIFA World Cup in 2010. the Nasrec precinct has received a major facelift. Venue: Johannesburg Expo Centre, Nasrec precinct. Date: Friday, 3rd of April, 2009 to Monday, 13th of April, 2009. For further information please follow the links alongside.
