Bite Into Something Awesome At The JHB Culinary & Pastry School

Joburg Admin / May 21, 2019

Just because people love food, doesn't mean they love to make it or even can (sounds a bit sharp, but its true). For those who do want to learn and know how you put love in making food, the best place to do it would be at the JHB Culinary & Pastry School. For those who don't want to cook and just want to do what we all love to do to food - eat it! You can visit the Market on Main to get a nibble on their food. Will tell you more... JHB Culinary

What's Cooking In the Kitchen?

The JHB Culinary & Pastry School is one of the best schools in the country, situated in Maboneng which probably calls an attraction of tons of 'foodies' to the Joburg CBD. The school was established in 2012 and has become an amazing success, the dream of Kevin and Jarlyne was inspired by the gap in the market and they wanted to created more people who would love making food as much as they eat it. They are really filled with many talented students who go all out to showcase their love for the culinary arts while getting their qualification. the JHB Culinary & Pastry School also gives the students an opportunity to really get on the job experience and get a worldview of what a real job experience is like. They have qualifications that are accredited by City & Guilds, QCTO as well as FoodBev SETA so every student can be proud to say that they have a recognised qualification. So its about more than just cooking, its about the love that comes with it. JHB Culinary The Sea Biscuit Foundation Programme They have an amazing scholarship foundation that creates opportunity for disadvantaged youth who want to learn and make something of themselves by their skill in the culinary arts.

Culinary At The Market On Main

The culinary school is also an integral part on the Market On Main, if you pay the market a visit on Sundays - you will find the school there. They sell their amazing bakery and pastry goods there, and best believe that Joburg is in love with their food. There is a particular cake that is at the slip of everyone's tongue, I don't know the name of the cake but I had a taste from my cousin and wow! Amazeballs. They have extremely generous slices of cake, you could eat it for breakfast, lunch and dinner but that may be impossible because it's just too delicious. JHB Culinary

Do Something Fun...

Events - Cooking Classes In case you want to do something fun and and different, you can check out their website for their cooking classes. They host really cool themed classes so you can choose anything that interests you depending on when it is hosted. They have events like Paela classes, Indian cuisine, Thai and many more... Did I mention that they have absolutely amazing facilities with an outside area that really invites you to eat? Appetising right? This is definitely something to stop frying eggs about. LOL! Let's get cooking Jozi!
