A Decadent Tea Experience
The Into the Woods tea venue at Fairlawns Boutique Hotel and Spa is inspired by the themes and colours of European tea rooms with a South African twist.
Recently redecorated by their own Michael Kewley, the venue showcases proudly South African brands. This includes upholstery and table linen by Ardmore Design Fabrics and crockery from renowned designer, Jenna Clifford.
Also, an extraordinary touch has been added in the upholstery of the couch and two chairs with the use of Sabie Forest Delta fabric, a Couture Print on Linen supplied by Exquisite Cuts.
The Into the Woods theme is emphasised by specially designed wallpaper, featuring a Birchwood forest which also ties in with their gorgeous gardens and rolling lawns. Tranquil sounds of water falling in the fountain outside adds to a very relaxing atmosphere. So, rest assured, every little detail is bound to impress!
Tea & Treats
These extra touches are just the icing on the cake! The morning and afternoon tea journey is incredible in its own right. Developed by Executive Chef, Gareth Jordaan and Head Pastry Chef, Christopher Berg, the current menu features an indulgent array of delights.
Expect a selection of delicate savoury nibbles and sweet sensations, showcasing the very best in local produce. The morning and afternoon tea journeys add a much needed sweetness to life. Injecting a little lavishness into everyday routine.
Alongside this, you can choose from plenty of top-tier refreshments. They have collaborated with Terres d’ Afrique to develop the loose-leaf tea menu of 13 top quality teas from Morocco, Japan, Africa and of course South Africa.
A Bubbly Touch
And if you’d prefer to make your afternoon a little more exciting, you can opt for champagne or South African sparkling wine, which have been carefully chosen to harmonise with most palates.
And, you could also add tea cocktails especially designed by a mixologist to enhance your experience.
