Whether your passion is board games, tabletop roleplaying (D&D), collectable card games (Magic: The Gathering, Pokémon) or wargaming (Warhammer 40K), ICON brings it all under one roof. Every year, fans leave on Sunday, already counting down to next year’s event.
First held in 1992 at the Paterson Park Recreation Centre in Norwood, ICON began as a small but intensely passionate gathering of enthusiasts. Two days of gaming weren’t enough; the event had to be repeated.
This year, ICON will be hosted at Fourways Mall,11 Ruby Cl, Witkoppen. Expect a relaxed space where you can dive into new hobbies, discover over 50 stalls and vendors, and connect with fellow fans!
Since 1995, ICON has also been the proud host of national tournaments for game systems such as Magic: The Gathering, Settlers of Catan, Ticket to Ride, Warhammer 40K, Pokémon, and Yu-Gi-Oh. It's more than earned its place as South Africa’s premier event for geeks and gamers of all types.
