Hunt For Clues And Escape The Room

Joburg Admin / September 7, 2016

For those of you that have not had the pleasure of looking for clues, wrecking your brain and trying to figure out how to get out of a locked room, you have not lived. As with most escape rooms, you have 60 minutes to piece things together and find a way out. Plus, it’s all about teamwork and communication. HintHunt, which is located at Thrupps Centre, has two rooms (designed for about three to five people) that are definitely worth a try. The JM Office There’s something incredibly appealing about detectives and mysteries, don’t you agree? Personally, it makes me feel like I’m a character in one of my favourite mystery novels… and the James Murdock room at HintHunt brings that story to life. As you may have guessed, it is set in an office and you have to figure out who framed Detective James Murdock for a crime he didn’t commit. Honestly, this room was a real challenge for us (which I suppose is what you’d expect from an escape room), so sadly, we didn’t make it out in time. I will say this though… look at everything thoroughly! You’d be surprised how easy it is to miss something crucial. Hunt For Clues And Escape The Room The Zen Room Perhaps it was the atmosphere and the look of the Zen Room at HintHunt, but we were much more composed when we gave this escape room a try (on a side note, the Zen Room is so beautiful!). Back to the great escape, let’s just say that this room definitely challenged us to think outside the box. My advice here is count carefully… you’ll understand in time. I’m happy to report that we made it out of this room with four minutes to spare (just so you know, the Zen Room is supposed to be more challenging that the JM Office). To my fellow escape room fanatics, this one is a must do! Enjoy. Have you given HintHunt a try? Which room did you try, and which one is your fave? Let us know below.
