To make these holidays worth enjoyable, Joburg Zoo has got all sorts of exciting events lined up to give your kids days full of fun activities, games, interaction with animals and, most importantly, memories that will last a lifetime! Holiday Fun At The Joburg Zoo! The first event these holidays will encourage you to bring the whole family along to experience outdoor adventures with a range of fun activities. This event is for kids from seven to 13 years of age and is bound to be an enriching one. It will run on the 14th, 15th, 17th and 18th of December 2015, and each day is filled with different fun activities! Some of these activities include animal feeding and enrichment as well as crafts and games. The damage fee is only R80 and the Holiday Fun programme will keep the little ones busy from 09h00 until 13h00. Holiday Fun For Kids Under Seven The younger audience (kids under the age of seven) will also get their fair share of fun in the zoo with a guided ferry tour around, which will allow them to see all the animals. Children must be accompanied by an adult. The entrance fee for this event will be R80, from 10h00 until 12h00,Tuesday 15 December. Meet Ronald McDonald The Smile Seeker! Ronald McDonald will be ready to meet and play with the kids at The Bandstand on the 5th and 11th of December. So, during your zoo adventures, make sure to bring the kids for a quick stop to meet the world’s most loved clown. The kids are bounds to keep their smiles for hours afterwards! Hospice Wits Tree Of Light Event! Enjoy a picnic under the stars of the African sky if you and your family would prefer a late outing ... you might even hear lions roar on occasional lapses. Set out an evening picnic with family and friends, while being entertained by leading local performers. This evening encounter is best if you can get a group who loves nocturnal animals together and everyone will appreciate the hot chocolate and marshmallows that are included in the entrance fee. Remembrance globes will be available at R70 each for private individuals and R350 each for corporates. Kids are guaranteed a free entrance.
