Plume Spruces Menu for Spring
Plume, the chic-classic restaurant at The Palace, has refreshed its menu in spirit of the exquisite lightness of spring. For the amuse bouche, there's duck liver parfait; charred Sparta Angus beef with leek and ceviche oyster. For appetisers, offerings include Irish scallops with sweet corn; Sparta Angus beef tartar; rooibos smoked springbok; Norwegian salmon ceviche and quail and mushroom velouté.
Main courses include duck with carrots, leek, beans and an invigorating plum jus; succulent Sparta Angus beef wellington with summer vegetables and port jus; darado with butternut, peas and lime; pork belly with parsnip, apple and port onions; sumptuous summer vegetable and truffle lasagna rolls for vegetarians and roasted chicken with potato, mushrooms and thyme jus.
Spring shines through in desserts such as deconstructed lemon meringue; passion fruit cheesecake with orange sorbet and muscadel poached pear with crème fraiche. The rich triple chocolate ganache is pure indulgence. The curated wine list offers a selection of handpicked wines that offer a reflection, not only of the season, but of the style and character of the restaurant, as well as the customers it serves.

The
Sun City Swim is the ultimate open-water swimming event and promises to kick off the 2019/2020 open-water swimming season with a splash. If you're keen to partake, you can compete in three distances: the 3 000m and 1 500m swimming competitions for serious swimmers and the 600m Fun Swim for those who want to have a splashing good time. Lifeguards will be on standby throughout the North West swimming event to ensure the safety of participants.
The Sun City Swim is a fun day for the whole family. Spot prizes are up for grabs for randomly selected swimmers, while prize money is awarded to winners of the swimming competitions, according to age categories.
The Nedbank Golf Challenge

The Nedbank Golf Challenge is one of the highlights of the South African sporting calendar. This event has featured the biggest names in world golf. Spiritual Awakening

Spiritual Awakening is a gospel festival that'll share the word of God with all South Africans. This event presents guests with a night of song, worship and praise with Mr Travis Greene and Tim Godfrey, who will be accompanied by a full band as well as supported by SA's top Gospel artists. The lineup includes performances by Travis Greene, Tim Godfrey, Dr Tumi, Winnie Mashaba, Benjamin Dube, Ntokozo Mbambo, Khaya Mthethwa, Dumi Mkokstad, Takie Ndou, Lungi Ndala and Omega Khunou.
