Joburg Indian Diwali Festival

Diwali is fast approaching, and to celebrate, join 27 Boxes in Melville and enjoy a day filled with lots of fun activities while experiencing Indian culture. There will be live Indian dancing and music on the decks, a wide variety of Indian cuisine and stalls offering plenty treats and delights, a children's play area and much more. Also, visitors will have free parking during the festivities.

Ever wondered what the Joburg Zoo is like at night? Well, this is your opportunity! Once the sun sets, a new day starts for all the nocturnal inhabitants of the Joburg Zoo. Join the zoo for a night of exploring the many different enclosures and enjoying a self-packed picnic under the night sky.

The Launch of The Festival of Lights at Joburg Zoo

Joburg Theatre in association with the City of Johannesburg are thrilled to present the second annual Festival of Lights showcasing an enchanting collection of illuminated life-size animal characters along with classical, harmonious entertainment, delicious food and a lovely craft night market at the Joburg Zoo. Open daily except on Mondays, visitors can enjoy a tranquil walk in the zoo on a beautifully lit route under trees decorated in enchanting lights. For a lovely start to your Saturday, head to Ferndale on Republic in Randburg for the pop-up Field Market! Market-goers will be able to explore and stroll through curated stalls selling local and handmade goodies, indulge in tasty treats from various deli, gourmet food and beverage stalls, and enjoy live music performed throughout the day.
