Have An Egg-Citing Easter At Home With These Fun Games

Joburg Admin / April 6, 2020

Bunny Hop Race

Similar to the potato sack race, the bunny hop race is the perfect way to get the kids having fun out in the sunshine. Start by creating a start and finish line. Then, each player must hop their way to the finish line. The first person to make it to the finish line wins an Easter egg. To make the game more challenging for older children, throw in a few obstacles that participants need to hop around or over - think Easter eggs, bunny holes or carrots.

Easter Egg Toss

Take the old favourite egg toss to a new level by adding some Easter flair. To play this game, divide the participants into teams of two. Team members must stand opposite one another at equal distances. One team mate must toss an egg (we recommend a candy-coated Easter egg) to the other member of the team. If the team member catches it, they must take a step back and throw it back to their team member. If the egg is dropped, they're out of the game. The last team left standing wins the game.

Spoonful of Eggs

This game is sure to be a blast for family members of all ages. For this game, you'll need two cups, a bag of speckled eggs and a spoon per player. Fill one of the cups with the speckled eggs and you're ready to go. The object of the game is simple, each player much transfer all the speckled eggs from the one cup to the other cup with the spoon - while the spoon is in their mouth.

Egg Rolls

Have a good family laugh while trying to get your egg to the finish line first. To play this game, you'll need a table, a few round Easter eggs and some family members with a sense of fun. The object of the game is to roll your egg to the finish line using only your nose. We recommend getting foil wrapped Easter eggs for this - no Easter eggs wasted.

Counting Easter Eggs

This game is perfect for families who want to get a bit competitive without all the strenuous physical activity. Simply fill a jar with Easter eggs (don't forget to count them as you go). Then it's up to your family members to guess how many eggs are in the jar. The person whose guess is the closest wins the jar. Fill up several jars to give everyone a fighting chance.

Easter Bunny Tag

Give the classic game of tag an Easter twist by including the Easter Bunny. For this game, you'll need to choose someone to be the Easter Bunny (give them a pair of bunny ears for some added fun). The Easter Bunny must then count to ten, giving the other players a chance to run away. When the Easter Bunny is done counting, he or she starts chasing the others. Once the Easter Bunny has 'tagged' someone, that person is the new Easter Bunny and the game starts all over again. Do you know of any fun games for Easter?
