Sun City's Festive Season Programme officially kicks off on
Friday, 06 December 2019 with a
Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony at 19:00 outside the Welcome Centre and is free for all guests to attend.

Sun City’s 40th birthday celebrations reach a crescendo with
The Big 40 Birthday Party on
Saturday, 07 December 2019, exactly the day since the resort’s doors were opened to the public. This highly anticipated event brings an exciting lineup of local artists performing at a ticketed concert at Valley of Waves, as well as an after party at the Sun Arena.
See the likes of
Shekhinah, Dr Victor & The Rasta Rebels, Kurt Darren, Mi Casa and a special lively production showcasing the resort’s history, culminating with a dazzling firework display. All accommodation packages for 06 to 08 December 2019 include two free tickets to the event and after party, a welcome drink and braai menu.
The entertainment and celebrations don't end there. The Sun Arena comes alive with
The Big 40 After Party, featuring
Somizi as the MC and Kwesta, Goodluck, Sho Madjozi, AKA, Prince Kaybee, DJ Christos, Vinny da Vinci and DJ Tira. Tickets to this event can be bought from

Some Christmas Cheer
The merriment continues with a spirited
Carols by Candlelight evening at the Sun Arena on Tuesday, 24 December 2019 from 20:00 to 22:00 with free entry.
Whilst enjoying the Christmas festivities, nothing beats a good meal on Christmas Day. Enjoy a mouthwatering buffet prepared by the chefs at the Warriors Hall, Sun City Convention Centre from 12:00 to 15:30. Booking for Christmas lunch is essential and costs R695 per adult and R295 per child under 12. These tickets can be booked through Computicket.
School Holiday Fun!
For the little ones,
Kamp Kwena offers a Festive Season Programme from 07 December 2019 to 12 January 2020. There are super activities for children aged 3 to 12 daily. Look forward to fun, including marshmallow braais, bumper boats, treasure hunts and mini-discos, a kiddies Christmas party with snow on the Cabanas Lawns and pool deck activities.
A crèche facility as well as
child care on an hourly basis is also available. Holiday entertainment programmes are available to guests at all hotel Concierge desks.
