What Is It?
Something is abuzz at the Walter Sisulu National Botanical Gardens. The
Giant Creature World Expo! It's going to get very buggy this spring, as the Giant Creature World Expo highlights some of the most overlooked species on our planet. Visit this educational exhibition to see at least 15 giant size animatronic and life size insects.
The sheer size of the animatronic creatures makes it easier to learn about our insect species. Watch in awe as they flap their wings, close their pincers or slurp imaginary nectar! There will also be live insects on display, both behind glass and in the hands of Giant Creature World Expo workers and volunteers. These live critters are by no means small either, with many coming from exotic destinations.
The exhibit is not just a fun activity for kids and parents. It also includes information on how residents can “plant for pollinators” by limiting pesticide use and installing native plants in their landscapes. So, don't miss out on this bug-tastic experience!

R70 per child and R80 per adult for Early Bird tickets (available until 30 August 2019). Thereafter, tickets cost R85 per child and R95 per adult.
