How Does It Work?
The whole concept around Color Café is to let your creative juices flow and create something special! Ceramic painting isn't only relaxing and fun, but it also offers an outlet for your creativity. Best of all, all you have to do is just enjoy the crafting experience with your loved ones, as Color Café will do all the setting up before and cleaning up after for you.
And to ensure that you and your party/fellow crafters are replenished during your art session, the Color Café does serve cold drinks as well as hot beverages to keep you hydrated. As for nibbles, there are a few snacks/treats available for purchase, but you are more than welcome to take along your own bites to eat.
Choose Your Desired Item
First things first: you need to choose what you would like to paint! Take a gander at their wide selection of raw ceramic items and choose the one that best suits you. There's a variety of animal-based designs, pen holders, side plates, mugs, money boxes, soccer balls, dinosaurs, cars, fairies, cupcake and ice cream trinkets, crockery, platters, and so much more. There's sure to be an item that'll catch your attention.
Decide On A Beautiful Design
Now that you have chosen your canvas, it's time to decide on a beautiful design that you would like to paint onto your item. Color Café offers a huge range of stencils and books to help you get those creative juices flowing and get you started with your design ideas. There's loads of inspiration waiting!
Now is the fun part: getting creative and creating your work of art! Color Café loves seeing what their clients create, every piece is unique and wonderful. Spend some time painting your selected ceramic item with a beautiful pattern, using a wide range or colours, or just making a beautifully abstract mess. Whatever you wish, this is the part of the process that's sure to delight and thrill all, complete with great company and conversation.
Don't Forget To Collect Your Masterpiece!
Once you have completed painting your chosen ceramic item, you will leave it with us to be glazed and fired in their kiln. Your items will be ready for you to collect about 4 weeks after your visit. To find out if their ready, rather do call and check in advance before head over to them to collect your masterpieces
Color Café will hold your completed, glazed and shiny items for a period of three months. If they're not collected, the items will be removed and donated to charity, where they are gratefully received.
