Frontieres Kicks Off The Market Theatre's Continental Season

What Is It?

The Market Theatre's Contintental Season kicks off with Frontieres this month. Frontieres is a personal testimony of African migrants who have fled their native countries in hope of a better, more prosperous future. Performed with a unique 'authenticity of voice', the actors re-tell personal testimonies. These testimonies have been collected by writer and mentor director Bobby Rodwell. Testimonies from migrants from Zimbabwe, the DRC, Cameroon and Somalia provide a Pan African perspective on migration. Ultimately, Frontieres asks: What impact does migration have on young people's lives? And, how are they received in South Africa? Directed by first time theatre director Mmabatho Montsho, mentored by Bobby Rodwell. When Is It? Friday, 14 June - Saturday, 7 July 2019. Show times: Tuesday – Saturday at 20:15 Sunday at 15:15
