Five Ways To Use Coconut Milk For Healthy Skin

Joburg Admin / February 4, 2016

Coconut Milk As A Facial Cleanser Coconut milk is just perfect for when you run out of your conventional cleansing milk. It’ll naturally cleanse and balance the moisture of your facial skin. Simply mix one teaspoon of plain yoghurt with a teaspoon of concentrated coconut milk and cleanse your face with the mixture. Then, splash cold water over your face to rinse it off. Coconut Milk As a Facial Moisturiser Is your skin tight, dry or stretchy? Mix equal amounts of raw honey and fresh coconut milk. Add two drops of sweet almond essential oil to the mixture if your skin’s especially dry. Smooth the mixture over your face and leave it on for 20 minutes. Later, wash your face with cool water and pat dry. Goodbye dry patches and that stretchy skin feeling! Coconut Milk As A Wrinkle Cream Soak 10 almonds in water overnight. Peel off their skins in the morning, then grind them into a smooth paste. Extract oil from two vitamin E capsules. Add a few drops of thick coconut milk and the vitamin E oil to the almond paste and blend well. Your all-natural wrinkle cream is now ready for use! Use regularly for best results. We love applying this cream before bed! Coconut Milk As A Sunburn Spray Add one part of organic rose water to one part of coconut milk and fill this up in a clean spray bottle, then refrigerate overnight. Soon after returning home from being out in the sun, when your skin is tender or burnt, spray this liquid over the affected skin and relax for half an hour. The rose water and coconut milk mixture will soothe and calm down redness quickly. Coconut Milk As A Brightening Mask Add coconut milk to a teaspoon of sandalwood powder. Add a few saffron strands and a few drops of raw honey to the mixture. Use this mixture as a skin-brightening mask all over your face. It’s an incredible natural skin-brightening treatment! We use it once a week. How To Make Coconut Milk At Home It’s important you don’t use packed or store-bought coconut milk for any of these home recipes. They’re likely to contain preservatives that can trigger skin irritations and allergic reactions. Make your own natural coconut milk by simply grating, grinding and then squeezing fresh coconuts to extract their thick, natural milk. by Candice May
