Five Reasons Why You Can't Miss Mix Fest 2019

Joburg Admin / September 11, 2019

It's Mix FM's First Ever Music Festival

In case you missed it, this is Mix FM's very first music festival! So, why not be one of many that get to attend the very first Mix Fest ever? And to ensure this inaugural event is a smashing success, they have gone all out with entertainment, foodie delights, the venue and so much more. Tickets are selling fast, so be sure to get yours as soon as possible! This is a festival you certainly don't want to miss.

Expect A Nostalgic Lineup

Part of the excitement over Mix Fest weekend is their stellar music lineup that'll certainly take you on a trip down memory lane. You can expect live performances by the Springbok Nude Girl, Watershed, Mango Groove, Desmond and the Tutus, as well as a few newer bands like Rubber Duc, The Black Cat Bones, CrashCarBurn and many more to make this weekend a memorable one. Visit their Facebook event page to find out more about who will be performing over the weekend.

Food & Beer!

What is a festival without ice-cold beer and delicious food? Guests can expect a tasty pop-up food market on both days, hosting ten different food suppliers with a large variety of scrumptious goodies to ensure you're fuelled for a weekend filled with excitement and fun. While the concert plays and the crowd watches from the grassy banks, head to the two separate bar areas, one being a beer tent overlooking the main stage area, to grab some refreshments.

You'll Be Contributing To A Great Cause

Being a charitable organisation, Mix 93.8 want to give back and have brought on Rotary as September is deaf awareness month. A portion of ticket sales will be donated after the event. On the day, there'll be a one-of-a-kind Silent Mix, where festival goers can donate a small amount and experience the Mix 93.8 DJs in a private headphone party. These donations will also go to Rotary.

Enjoy A Day Outdoors

Since our spring/summer weather is absolutely wonderful this time of the year, this is the perfect occasion to enjoy the fresh air and take in the scenery at Cradle Moon Game Lodge. This is an outdoor festival, so there'll be plenty of sunshine, fresh air and surrounding sites and sounds. But if you seek shade, chalets and fixed tents will be available.  Also, the VIP area consists of the lake side restaurant and white beaches that overlook the entire venue, offering a once in a lifetime experience.
