FIFA World Cup At Queeni's Shebeen

Joburg Admin / July 9, 2018

The FIFA World Cup So Far

The 2018 FIFA World Cup is now into its seminal knockout stage as the heat is turned on the final four countries still left in the run for the cup. With France, Belgium, Croatia, and England neck-in-neck before the semi-finals kick off this week, it is evident that this rendition of the world soccer games, is cut from a strange and interesting tree indeed. There have been a couple of surprises, underdogs that rose out of the darkness and won over crowds the world over. Belgium V France In their first semi-final match in three decades, Belgium will take on 1998 FIFA World Cup Winners, France in St. Petersburg on 10 July 2018. This battle will leave one team awarded with a bronze medal and the other prolonging their fight towards gold. Date & Time: 10 July 2018 @ 20:00 England V Croatia By way of shoot-out against host nation, Russia, Croatia has made its way to the final four. The Balkan based nation is up against England who makes its stand in the semi-finals for the first time in 28 years. England clutched the position by beating Sweden in a 2-0 battle, winning over the support of Swedish defender Victor Lindelof in the tournament moving forward. Date & Time: 11 July 2018 @ 20:00 The play-offs for third place will take place on Saturday, 14 July @ 16:00 with the finals happening the following day, 15 July 2018 @ 17:00. Queeni's Shebeen
