What Is It?

The 2019 Fak'ugesi African Digital Innovation Festival is almost upon us! This year's festival dives deep into the opportunities available for African artists working in the culture, creativity and technology sectors. With a focus on screen based digital creativity, digital art, animation, virtual reality and video game spaces. There will also be a special focus on on cross-sector collaboration in southern and east Africa. The event takes place at Wits University's Tshimologong Precinct in Braamfontein, over an entire week. The theme is ‘Own Your Force’, which invites digital makers in Africa to stake their claim on their talent, industry and creative economy.
