Birthday Weekend Celebrations
Over the Human Rights Day long weekend, the Joburg Zoo will be hosting a variety of fun-filled activities perfect for the whole family, including movie night on Saturday the 19th of March and a fun day event on Sunday the 20th of March. The Sunday Fun Day birthday party will be jam-packed with live entertainment, fun for the little ones in the kids corner, laughter provided by a comedian, as well as animal demonstrations. Music, a picnic and a movie night – what more do you need for a spectacular birthday bash! Cost is R50 per person.
Share Your Joburg Zoo Memories
Who doesn't have fond memories at the Joburg Zoo? And why not share these happy memories with them! Send your pictures of you and your loved ones visiting the zoo – especially those old ones when you were much younger or your favourite moments at the zoo – and you could win an awesome prize which includes a picnic basket, Bluetooth speakers, zoo tickets and an arranged open moonlight tour for all the winners at the end of the month of March.
118 Minutes of Love
In spirit of their birthday, why not donate 118 minutes of your time to the zoo? The Joburg Zoo will host 20 people at the zoo and give them a variety of tasks to do on the premises for 118 minutes. These tasks include assisting with cleaning the enclosures, preparing feed, litter picking, manning tables and more. The sessions will take place on the last Saturday of the month. An appreciation certificate to be issued to participants at the end of the session.
