Mediterranean-inspired Ethos restaurant has launched a fresh new summer seasonal menu and welcomed new Head Chef, Mpilo Mokoena. They offer top-class tapas, food, drinks and bar entertainment, be sure to visit them at Oxford Parks in Rosebank!
A New and Improved Venue
Since moving to Oxford Parks in Rosebank last year, Ethos has only received rave feedback from customers and foodies! Their new space now boasts outside seating and an opulent open plan bar, making this the perfect place for mingling and feasting. It's a thing of beauty at this Rosebank based restaurant! Their inviting interiors provide a dramatic backdrop of sweeping arches, grand columns and impressive Italian marble for many Instagram-worthy photo opportunities.
A Sensational Seasonal Menu
Their vibrant seasonal menu isn't the only thing new at this restaurant! Ethos has proudly announced that they have a new Head Chef, Mpilo Mokoena, who is sure to be a draw card for Joburg foodies. The Mpumalanga-born chef aims to bring his love of simple family style Italian cooking with his impressive background in French cuisine to the new menu. “I hope diners will be taken on a journey of transcendence with respect to the full Ethos experience highlighted by the ambience and great setting,” says Head Chef, Mpilo Mokoena.
So, what's on the menu? Signatures dishes include the Josper Grilled Octopus with caramelised onion and dill purée, fava dip, crushed potato, as well as the 8-hour braised Greek Style Lamb Shank with traditional grain pasta, mushrooms, onions, lemon and graviera cheese while the roasted Almond Panna Cotta with citrus caramel, and caramelized fruit is one of the new features on the dessert menu. Furthermore, the rest of the menu offers a tantalising mix of fresh and fragrant tapas, salads, pastas, Josper grill dishes and classic and decadent desserts.
It's not only their décor and outstanding cuisine that keep customers returning. They also have live entertainment and performers in their bar on a weekly basis featuring some of Gauteng’s hottest and up-and-coming music talent.
