What Is It?

DOP is the fascinating and cutting-edge story of Frank Venter, an ordinary man. One of thousands in life that a few will know, and even fewer will remember. Like everyone, Frank has a story that nobody listens to. It's not impressive enough — or is it? Frank sits in a bar. It's his birthday. The only person around is Tim, the barman. Frank and Tim need something from one another. Frank needs a soundboard to confirm his existence, Tim needs the correct words to speak his heart's truth. DOP is Retief Scholtz’s theatrical debut. It will be presented at The Market Theatre for a two-week run in January 2020. Produced by Kosie Smit, directed by Sylvaine Strike and featuring Andre Odendaal. Get your tickets now!
