This holiday season Sandton City will be celebrating in style with the newly launched Disney Channel. From Saturday, 2nd to Sunday, 24th of December, the Fountain Court will be magically transformed into an exciting, fun filled fairground featuring all your favourite programmes from Disney Channel – including activities, games, performances and lots of Disney characters!
Disney Channel, the world’s leading kids television brand, recently launched on DStv Channel 82. Featuring programming for kids 2-14 years as well as the whole family, Disney Channel is jam-packed with great animation, pre-school programmes, live action series and, of course, movies!
The Disney Channel fairground will be open every day from 10h00 to 20h00 – with ongoing activities throughout the day. All centre stage performances and activities will start on the hour, every hour between 11h00 and 17h00.
Explore the programming pavilions – themed around Disney Channel shows like Jo Jo’s Circus, Mickey Mouse Club House and the hit Disney Channel original movie High School Musical as well as hit feature films like Cars and Little Mermaid.
Participate in a wide array of great activities such as: make your own musical instrument with Disney’s Little Einstein, bake clown biscuits with Jo Jo’s Circus, learn to dance to the hit tracks from High School Musical, shoot hoops with the ESPN basketball team and much more.
Watch performances on the centre stage by great local artists - for example circus performances, graffiti artists, singers, dancers and more. Have your photograph taken with Santa. And of course, sing and dance with your favourite Disney characters as well as have a chance to meet them on the centre stage.
