Parrots
Parrots is probably the closest thing to fine dining at this homely mall. The eatery offers diners classy pub grub style food with interesting twists and turns. The crumbed deep fried biltong with sweet chilli sauce is worth a try. Cheese lovers will fall for their Gourmet Grilled Cheese loaded with Emmentaler, Boerenkaas, mature cheddar, cream cheese and whole grain mustard. Alternatively, try one of their scrumptious burgers, pastas, grills or pizzas. Finish off your meal with a huge slice of freshly baked cake and a desirable Salted Caramel Mocha.

Fournos
One of our favourite bakeries is located at East Rand Mall. Fournos offers delectable confectionery, from gorgeous cakes to flaky croissants. Try out their chocolate and almond croissants, or stay and have a meal. We adore their Rosti Breakfast with layers of potato rosti, bacon, spinach and feta, avocado and a poached egg. Or the Chicken Club Sandwich with grilled chicken breasts, bacon, egg, rocket, gherkin, tomato and mustard mayo for a delightful lunch.

Mimmos
Mimmos offers Italian-style meals for the whole family. The Chilli Cheese Bites, consisting of four deep-fried parcels filled with cream cheese and chilli, makes a lovely starter. Follow this with the Paella Pasta, chouriço, chicken, calamari, prawns and garlic in a tomato and sherry sauce. Finish off the meal with a luscious dessert, such as the Panzookie, a cookie baked in the pizza oven.

We love DIY food where we can mix up our own flavour combos to suit the tastes and textures that we crave. And this is why we love Anat. Here, you can choose a schwarma or wrap and completely customise it to your preference. Simply choose your protein - chicken, beef, lamb or falafel - and choose your toppings. We would love to try the tender marinated chicken cuts with tzatziki, tomato and cucumber, fried aubergine and roast peppers.

Cinnabon
This eatery specialises in cinnamon rolls of all sorts, shapes and sizes. A classic cinnamon roll features layers of buttery pastry and spicy cinnamon rolled into a ball and drenched with sweet and silky icing. But Cinnabon takes things a step further with their Caramel Pecanbon, MiniBon, Chocobon, BonBites and Cinnabon Stix. We can't resist the adorable Cinnabon paired with a decadent cup of Mochalatte Chill.

From cinnamon to doughnuts, you're sure in for a treat at East Rand Mall. Krispy Kreme offers some of the fluffiest doughnuts available in a plethora of flavours. We don't know which we want more between the Red Velvet, Peanut Butter Krunch or NY Cheesecake. But each of them go perfectly with a Toffee Nut Flavoured Latte. Traditionalists can stick to the light and fluffy Sugar Coated, Original Glazed or Doughnut Bites with a creamy cappuccino.
