DECOREX JHB TAKES A LOOK AT THE NEW LUXE Wednesday, 8th – Sunday, 12th of August 2007 Gallagher Estate, Midrand Celebrating its 14th year, Decorex JHB sparkles with a new sense of glamour and a theme - ‘Embellishing Space’ - to match. “With South Africans spending more than R27 billion on home-ware annually, a bright future awaits the local décor and design industry, while consumers are spoilt for choice,” says Melanie Robinson, director of Decorex SA. “This optimism will be evident during the five days dedicated to décor and design.” Glowing and growing, the halls will be filled with 650 exhibitors, 85 newcomers, the finest furnishings, finishes, kitchens, bathrooms and accessories to delight décor trade professionals and home passionates. Decorex JHB won the coveted award from The Exhibition Association of South Africa (EXSA) as the best large consumer and trade show of the year in 2006. Not resting on its laurels this year’s show glows with bright new features, installations and special projects: CALLING ALL COLOURISTAS Engage with colour as Plascon unveils its Colour Forecast for 2008. Anne Roselt, Plascon colour manager predicts a palette brimming with many moods and emotions. The latest issue of COLOUR, Plascon’s trendsetting magazine, edited by Annemarie Meintjes and devoted to colour inspiration will also be launched at Decorex. At Plascon’s interactive Virtual Showroom, created by Switch Design, visitors can get intimate with the latest colours on different finishes through hi-tech software and light projection. GURUS IN DREAM ROOMS Get décor inspiration at the Sanlam Dream Rooms Hall filled with breathtaking room-settings and exuberant interpretations of the show’s new-luxe theme.
