Curry Tapas & Tasty Dishes At AtholPlace

To me, AtholPlace Hotel & Villa is a gem of a venue… it’s right around the corner from Sandton City and the restaurant offers a delightful dining experience. My husband, Brenden, and I were invited to check out the venue recently and to try their new Curry Tapas & Beer offering. Before I get to that, let me start off by saying that the venue is spectacular. It has both indoor and outside seating (which is great now that spring is here). As for the dinner menu, just looking at it is a treat. There are many amazing dishes to try, from Truffled cauliflower soup with toasted almond and herb oil (so good, trust me!) to Chicken supreme with saffron-infused cabbage, potatoes and baby beetroot. And the best part is that the menu is changed often, making every trip to AtholPlace a first time experience. For those of you with a serious sweet tooth (and a deep love for chocolate), be sure to try the Triple chocolate mousse with pistachio brittle, fig, pomegranate syrup and honeycomb ice cream – it’s simply divine! Ok… before I get too side-tracked by all their delicious menu items, let me tell you about their latest offering.

Something New To Try

AtholPlace Restaurant is now offering patrons a yummy dining experience in the form of Curry & Craft Beer Fridays. Here, you’ll get to enjoy a multitude of delicious curry dishes, paired with different types of beer – that’s definitely a unique concept in my book. The first Curry & Craft Beer Friday will be on 2 September. The tastings include four x 100ml selected craft beers and four tapas-styled curry dishes (just so you know, these will change weekly).
