India

One of the most colourful and diverse countries in the world would be India. From its open deserts to its lush jungles and everything in between, it truly is an amazing experience. Everything is cheap there: travel, accommodation and food... just make sure that the street food is kind to more sensitive stomachs. Opt for mild wherever possible because you sure don't want to spoil your time there with Delhi belly. The mecca of gap year travel would be Morocco. Its picturesque landscape is perfect for snapping photos for the gram.
